How to Watch Sports & Drink Beer
In case you forgot.
Do you remember the first time you got super stoked about a football game?
The NBA finals?
The Stanley Cup?
Most of us were little kids when we first latched on to the wide world of sports. More than just a game, sports are a way to unite the community to rally behind the essence of a city, state, country, or even a decrepit and broken down men’s league lacrosse team. A bunch of leagues have finally resumed play after a painful hiatus. Unfortunately, no league across any sport is allowing spectators yet, but that’s hardly the point. The point is... sports are back!
For us, that means memories of Joe Sakic and Peter Forsberg completely dominating the Pepsi Center. It means John Elway spinning through the air to reach for an epic touchdown. It means Rocktober. It means cold beer, good friends, and a reason to get together on a Tuesday night (masks encouraged).
Here is a list of Colorado teams, events to look forward to, and of course, the perfect local beverages to support your local teams!
Denver Nuggets
On Monday, the Nuggets defeated the OKC Thunder 121-113. We love to see the home team roll up to an empty stadium and drop the hammer. Big things to come for the Nuggets this year. 😎 It’s a great time to be a basketball fan, so lace up your shoes and prep for the 1:30 p.m. game against the Utah Jazz on Saturday. While the Nuggets knock down threes, you can knock back some beers!

4 Noses Brewing Perfect Drift Pilsner
$10.49, 6-pack
Colorado Rockies
Unfortunately, half the fun of baseball is getting some cheap RockPile tickets and going to Coors field for the game. We can’t eat shelled peanuts, spit sunflower seeds and drink $12 beers, but baseball is still baseball! The silver lining is now we can all avoid burning a hole in our wallets and drink some higher quality, far cheaper beer for the game. The Rockies lace em’ up against the Mariners tonight at 7:40 p.m., tomorrow at 7:10 p.m., and Sunday at 2:10 p.m.

Breckenridge Brewery Sampler Pack
$16.99, 15-pack
Colorado Avalanche
Not sure about you, but we’re stoked for the magnificent return of the figure skating war zone that is pro hockey. The Avs have been raring to go for a hot minute, and there’s no telling what could be in store for them through this modified NHL season. They’re in the midst of playoff qualifiers but started hot with a 2-1 win over the Blues. They gear up against the Las Vegas Golden Knights tomorrow at TBD, so tune in for the imminent dangle, snipe, celly from your favorite Avs!

Denver Broncos
The Donkeys open their 2020 season against the Tennessee Titans on September 14th. It feels like a long time, but it doesn’t really feel like time exists anymore, so we might as well get hyped now. The Broncos are ready to make an impact this year after a few long years of trial and tribulation. Time to get Broncos Country fired up for some hard knocks, perfect spirals (@drewlock23 lookin’ at you, dude 👀😎), and Mile High Salutes. Watching the Broncos would be IN-COM-PLETE without a few beers…
